Cisco Certified Voice Professional Bootcamp (CCVP)

Course Description

This innovative Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) Bootcamp integrates the classroom instruction from CVoice, QoS, CIPT1, CIPT2 and TUC into a single class. CCI’s CCVP Bootcamp is complete with hands-on practical labs and case studies that meet and exceed the Cisco Training recommendations for the CCVP program, multiple Cisco IPT Specialist Certifications, and provide the foundation for the CCIE Voice.

Cisco Voice: Teaches the theory, standards, and protocols used in packet switched telephony.

Cisco Quality of Service: Teaches theory, standards, and practical configuration techniques needed for advanced IP telephony/VoIP design and implementation of IP telephony congestion management, traffic shaping and policing to meet quality of service and class of service objectives.

Cisco IP Telephony Part I: Teaches the skills needed to install, configure, and maintain a Cisco CallManager IP telephony solution in an enterprise or service provider environment.

Cisco IP Telephony Part II: Teaches advanced Cisco CallManager features and options, including: point-to-point video conferencing Attendant Console, IP Softphone and extension mobility, IP telephony security features and hardening systems for VoIP; command-line tools; device monitoring; and voice and data network troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems: Teaches troubleshooting methodology, triage, resources, tools and fixes at the integrated System / Solution level, and for components (such as Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Unity, videoconferencing, and infrastructure).

Test Vouchers

Students receive five test vouchers covering each single area/topic taught in the CCVP Bootcamp course (Cvoice, QoS, CIPT 1&2 and TUC). These vouchers are given out during the second week of the class and are redeemable at any Prometric facilities.


CCI CCVP Voice Lab Topology

The Cisco CCVP hands-on labs provide practical exercises for planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and managing Cisco's AVVID architecture. Learn the FULL spectrum of solutions for Cisco voice-enabled equipment: i.e. voice enabled gateways, gatekeepers, SRST, and digital and analog networking. Perform hardware-based DSP conferencing and transcoding, as well as practice alternate route solutions utilizing both a WAN and traditional telephony (PSTN).


Prerequisites

  • Students should have a CCNA or equivalent. A working knowledge of LANs, WANs, IP switching and routing is essential.

Follow-on Classes

After completing the CCVP Bootcamp, you will have the knowledge to take Cisco's voice specialized courses including CallManager Express (IPTX), Cisco Contact Center Express and Unified IP IVR Deployment (UCCXD), Unified Communications Architecture and Design (UCAD), and CCI's Unity Bootcamp. These courses enable you to achieve additional Cisco Certified Specialist Certifications and complete the recommended training for the CCIE Voice.
