Course Description
This five-day course is designed exclusively for Cisco Channel Partners and Account Managers and prepares you for the Cisco Routing and Switching Field Specialist (642-055 ARSFE) exam. This certification demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to successfully install, configure, monitor, and support the advanced capabilities of Cisco routing and switching solutions.
Individuals who achieve this certification have demonstrated specific expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Quality of Service (QOS), High Availability (HA), and IP version 6 (IPv6). In this course, learn to implement the design solution as part of a System Engineer and Field Engineer effort, install and configure the solution in the customer's network so the customer accepts the solution, and enable the customer's network operation and the administration of the integrated solution in monitoring baseline performance and managing abnormal incidents or problems.
Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
- Configure routers and multilayer switches to enable BGP
- Configure routers for MPLS
- Configure routers and switches to enable QOS
- Implement high availability in the network at Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3
- Configure and troubleshoot routers and Level 3 switches for IPV6
- Use the appropriate show and debug commands to monitor and troubleshoot a Cisco network
